Miriam Klevan, LCSW, PhD, received her PhD from Northwestern University, where she has also served as adjunct faculty. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Collaborative Family Healthcare Association. She is currently working on a book on parents’ journey from infertility to adoption.
Dr. Klevan works with individuals, couples, and families. She specializes in infertility, adoption, and helping individuals and families adapt to chronic and acute medical conditions. She also loves to work with young adults in transition and parents who find parenting more challenging than they expected, either because of adoption, medical conditions, infertility or issues like child temperament or learning disabilities.
Dr. Klevan is in this profession because she loves hearing people’s stories and help them resolve conflict and discover their inner strengths. It is especially satisfying to help couples and families rediscover their love for each other, and to help those struck by illness cope and find fulfillment.
