Jay Lebow

Jay Lebow, PhD, LMFT, is a CCFH Associate Faculty member. He is Senior Staff Therapist and Research Consultant at The Family Institute at Northwestern University and Clinical Professor of Psychology at Northwestern University. Dr. Lebow is a nationally prominent authority on research on couples and family therapy and evidence-based practice models. He also lectures on integrative practice approaches, divorce and custody issues, and ethical concerns in practice.

Dr. Lebow is a fellow of the American Psychological Association, Board Certified in Family Psychology, and an approved supervisor of AAMFT. He serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Marital and Family Therapy and Family Process and is a former president of the Division of Family Psychology of the American Psychological Association. Dr. Lebow has served on the Board of Directors of the American Family Therapy Academy (AFTA), the American Boarrd of Family Psychology, and the Illinois Association for Marital and Family Therapy (IAMFT). He is the author of over 100 articles and book chapters, primarily dealing with integrative couple and family therapy, research assessing couple and family therapy, the evaluation of mental health treatment, and intervention and assessment in child custody disputes. His research focuses on outcome in couple and family therapy.
